Journey – Microfiction

Ten times we passed the same tree. No idea when it would end.

This never-ending circle of a road trip.

“Will you please stop and ask for directions?” Mother asked.

Father looked at her, and smiled. Giving no reply.

She shook her head and laughed, letting him be content in his wandering.

It wasn’t often we saw him happy, so if getting a little lost was all

we had to endure, it would be worth it.
