The Silver Screen: “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly”

Take a quote from your favorite movie — there’s the title of your post. Now, write!

“Wouldn’t it be loverly…”

The first time I watched My Fair Lady I was in high school. I imagined myself as
Eliza. The awkward wallflower with a small circle of friends meeting my Professor
Higgins. A worldly man. Impeccably dressed, well off and with good diction. A man
who could change my life, make me over completely into something more than
what I was.

Looking back this made so much sense to me. I had very little self esteem or even
less sense of self. So to be someone else’s ideal seemed perfect to me. The key to
happiness.

Daily Prompt: Silver Screen.
